Some artists build personas. Printz Tone just builds music. Growing up in Clinton, NC, he learned early to lead with who he actually is whether he was drawing, traveling, or singing along to songs playing around the house. That authenticity remained with him through the military and into adulthood. Today, he describes himself simply and honestly: “I’m cool. I’m myself.” And that approach shows in his music nothing forced, nothing exaggerated, just a natural vibe.
His newest single, “You Got Me,” captures that cool factor perfectly. It’s not a dramatic record it’s smooth, light, and made for the moment. Printz didn’t want to pack the track with heavy lyrics or emotional intensity. Instead, he focused on creating a feeling. “Music is all about the feel… I want people to feel my music,” he explains. And this song does exactly that. Built around the warmth of summertime, the track’s bounce and energy were made to lift spirits. As Printz says, “It’s a feel-good song” and the simplicity of that vision is what makes it work.
